Carly Wallenstein Director of Religious School

Carly is an experienced Director of Religious School who comes to CBI from the suburbs of Chicao. She has a wealth of experience in Jewish education, previously serving as an Education Director in congregations in the suburbs of Chicago and northern New Jersey. Carly’s passion for working with children has been a constant throughout her career. She spent seven years as a staff member at the URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute in Oconomowoc, WI, and was also a camper there for five years, shaping her deep commitment to Jewish education and community.
A proud graduate of Indiana University, Carly holds a B.A. in Jewish Studies and Political Science. She furthered her education by earning a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College and a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from Gratz College.
Carly’s skills include Jewish educational leadership, program development, nonprofit management, and creating engaging, community-driven learning environments. One of her most notable achievements is building educational programs that foster a love of Jewish learning for students of all ages.
In her personal time, Carly enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Drew, along with their son Benjamin and dog Bailey, are excited to be moving to Boca Raton and joining the Congregation B’nai Israel community. Carly is excited to engage with the families at CBI and help guide them on their Jewish journeys.
