Carly Wallenstein Director of Religious School
Carly is very excited about joining the Congregation B’nai Israel Family! She previously served as an Education Director in congregations in the suburbs of Chicago and northern New Jersey. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs and was an active member of her home synagogue, Temple Judea Mizpah, where she attended Religious School and Hebrew School until she graduated high school. Working with children has always been a passion of hers as she was a staff member at the URJ, Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute in Oconomowoc, WI for seven years and was a camper there for five years.
Carly graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a B.A. in Jewish Studies and Political Science. She holds a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College and a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from Gratz College. In her spare time, Carly loves to read, travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
She is incredibly passionate about creating a love of Jewish learning and community for all. Carly is excited to get to know the families at CBI and be part of their Jewish journey.
Carly, her husband, Drew, their son Benjamin and dog Bailey are truly looking forward to moving to Boca Raton and becoming part of the CBI community.
