Strength and hope
Pastoral Request
At Congregation B’nai Israel, our clergy are always available to offer rabbinical assistance, prayer, or counseling. If you are in need of assistance, whether it is for a joyous occasion, a sorrowful loss, or you need guidance and counseling, we are here to help.
Misheberach Request
One of the central Jewish prayers for those who are ill or recovering from illness or accidents is the Misheberach. The prayer takes its name from two words: “mi" and "sheberach” meaning, “the One who blessed.” It asks that the One who blessed our ancestors bring about a complete healing for the person for whom the blessing is said. On Shabbat and Festivals we offer the Misheberach prayer for those in need of healing (physically & spiritually).
Jewish Family Services
Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) has partnered with Congregation B'nai Israel in order to bring all of JFS’ programs and services into the community.
JFS offers help and hope across a broad spectrum of service areas such as Food & Financial Assistance (Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels), Senior Services, Counseling & Mental Health Services, Career & Employment Services, and the Center for Families and Children.
Arielle Blumenthal, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will be available through CBI in order to assist and help congregants in getting linked to JFS services.
