Support Here for you at every stage of life

Healing in Times of Need

In the Torah, our ancestors asked God to heal them in times of need. At Congregation B’nai Israel, our clergy and staff are here to comfort our synagogue family. Our clergy can provide guidance and accompany you on your spiritual journey as you wrestle with questions about life and God. They can help you search for answers as you question your own purpose and meaning and can help you maintain well-being as you grow.

When you become a member of our CBI family, you are gaining exactly that, a family, and a place to turn to for all of your life’s joys and sorrows. We look forward to walking with you on your journey.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment with a member of our clergy, please contact Joanna Horowitz at 561.241.8118.

Strength and hope

Pastoral Request

At Congregation B’nai Israel, our clergy are always available to offer rabbinical assistance, prayer, or counseling. If you are in need of assistance, whether it is for a joyous occasion, a sorrowful loss, or you need guidance and counseling, we are here to help.

Misheberach Request

One of the central Jewish prayers for those who are ill or recovering from illness or accidents is the Misheberach. The prayer takes its name from two words: “mi" and "sheberach” meaning, “the One who blessed.” It asks that the One who blessed our ancestors bring about a complete healing for the person for whom the blessing is said. On Shabbat and Festivals we offer the Misheberach prayer for those in need of healing (physically & spiritually).

Ezrat-Am

One of the great roles that a congregational community can play in the lives of its member families is providing a place to turn to in times of difficulty, trial, or illness. Here, as in many other areas of life, the old saying has it right: “It is better to give than to receive.”

Ezrat-Am is the "Caring Committee" at Congregation B’nai Israel. They provide assistance to members who are going through difficult times in a variety of ways.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please give us a call in the office at 561.241.8118. You can also contact clergy in complete confidentiality.

Bereavement Group

At Congregation B’nai Israel we understand that grief is powerful and sometimes overwhelming. Losing a loved one brings on different emotional, physical, and spiritual feelings. We host an on-going group for those in all stages of grief.
