CBI Visits The Nova Music Festival Exhibit – Miami
Join your fellow CBI members and Spanish River Church community for a meaningful outing to explore The Nova Music Festival Exhibit.
Registration to travel with CBI will close on Friday 1/24/25. Members still have the opportunity to purchase tickets separately and meet at the exhibit for the group tour. Limited space available so act fast!

Schedule:
- 12:00 PM: Enjoy a delicious pizza and salad lunch in the North Social Hall at CBI.
- 1:00 PM: Depart by coach bus from CBI for a relaxing ride to the exhibit.
- 3:00 PM: Group tour of The Nova Music Festival Exhibit.
- 5:30–6:00 PM: Return to CBI.
- If you would prefer to take your own transportation and join us for jus the exhibit portion, please RSVP with the Meet-You-There option. You will purchase your own ticket(s) at the door and join our 3pm showing.
Note: Should you choose to attend the exhibit on your own, The Nova Exhibit leaves Miami January 31st, 2025

It’s a Date! with Rabbi Silvers
Whether you look forward to the Passover Seder all year or avoid it like the plague, add “It’s a Date” to your calendars. Gain new insight into days that mark profound moments in history, and others that mark when to harvest the grain — and pop open the wine. In this unit, we will explore how the Jewish calendar works. We will explain and discuss our holidays — and holiday rituals. We’ll share personal and collective memories.
Beginning on January 29th through March 12th, no class on February 19th.

5:00PM Tot Service for NCECE Families Due to the number of anticipated attendees, doors will open at 4:45PM to account for security procedures and the service will begin promptly at 5PM.
5:30PM Tailgate Dinner for NCECE, SLJ, and Member Families and Members’ Guests Kick off the weekend with a tailgate-themed dinner and dessert! Families are invited to wear their favorite NFL team jersey (or any sports team jersey) and join in celebrating shabbat with fans of all ages.
6:30PM Congregational Shabbat Service CBI Members and SLJ Families are invited to welcome Shabbat and then join our post-game celebration with ice cream sundaes following services.

In this first session of “Steve Talks,” our Executive Director, Steve Allen, invites you to hear his personal stories of “front row” moments—both joyful and challenging—and reflect on what they’ve meant to him. Then, it’s your turn to share your own front-row experiences as we connect and grow together as a community.

CBI’s Shoe Drive
Support our shoe and supply drive benefitting In Jacob’s Shoes! We’re collecting new and gently used shoes and new socks for all ages, from infants to adults. We are also collecting school supplies and backpacks. Your donations help provide footwear to those in need in our community.
Shoes, socks, backpacks, and supplies can be dropped off in the Admin Circle from January 6th – 31st.

For January’s Social Action initiative, join us in creating tokens of appreciation for our local first responders who dedicate their lives to keeping our community safe.
Craft heartfelt notes, assemble care packages, and drop them off to your local fire or police station to express your gratitude for their tireless service. Let’s come together to make a meaningful impact and show our appreciation for these everyday heroes!
