Ulpan-Or Modern Hebrew Class

Learning Hebrew is conceived by many people as a long, drawn-out process.

Congregation B’nai Israel is proud to introduce Ulpan-Or’s interactive courses, designed for students to quickly acquire the ability to speak and comprehend Modern Hebrew.

Over the course of 8 weeks, students will pick up the Hebrew language using interesting, enjoyable, up-to-date video, audio, and written content encompassing cultural, social, and professional aspects of life in Israel.

Bring a notebook and pencil and get ready to learn!
Cost: $118 for CBI Members + Member Guests

Nagle Family Jewish Film Festival presents “Hollywoodism: Jews, Movies and the American Dream.” Based on Neal Gabler’s best-selling book, “An Empire of Their Own,” this is a vivid portrayal of Hollywood’s Jewish history, emphasizing the importance of Jewish pioneers in the development of film.

The summer months can be difficult for food pantries, so help us stock the Little Free Pantry! Team up with your friends and receive a list of our most-needed items and some challenges to complete. There are points up for grabs and the winning team walks away with a fun prize.

Coffee and Conversation with Rabbi Silvers

Join Rabbi Silvers for this two-part class on the Seven Mythical Creatures found in the Torah and the Tanach over coffee and a bagel.
The Hebrew Bible is full of animals — from the full roster of species that God created on the fifth and sixth days of creation to the long lists of kosher and non-kosher animals outlined in Leviticus.

This is event is open to the community, registration is required.

Back to Shul Food Truck Frenzy

Reconnect, with your CBI family. Join us for a stress-free Sunday filled with activities and fun for all ages! Food Trucks, DJ Susan, Water Slides and more…Visit our Information Station and learn about High Holy Days, CBI Brotherhood, Women of CBI, social action and volunteer opportunities. Be sure to pick up your CBI swag bag and food truck vouchers at check in. NOTE: children require adult supervision at all times.

Our Little Free Pantry program is a way to get our congregants involved in the fight against hunger in our community.

How to Donate Items & Food
Donations can be dropped off items in the blue bins Monday – Friday between 9:30AM – 5PM, at Shabbat Services, or at any on-campus event.
