Passover Guide

CBI's Rabbi Emeritus, Rabbi Silvers, has compiled a Passover guide to help you prepare for the holiday.

Selling Unleavened Goods

As part of the preparation for Pesach, Jewish tradition offers the opportunity to sell your non-“Pesachdik” food and utensils that remain in your home during the entire holiday. The sale can be made by calling and authorizing the Rabbi to sell your chametz or filling the form below.

Passover Collections

For our Passover Food Drive, we are collecting chametz to create post-Passover food bags for JFS seniors. Please bring your items to any Shabbat service or drop them off in the blue bin in CBI’s Admin Circle during the following times:

  • Monday - Friday 9:30am-12pm
  • Monday - Thursday 3:30pm-5:30pm

You can also order directly from Amazon.

Please call or email Minda Shaiman with any questions.

Donations

Passover is a time to celebrate our freedom and remember that the Jewish people were once slaves in Egypt. With freedom comes responsibility, particularly the duty of giving back. On Passover, we ask that you consider making a special gift to CBI in honor of the freedoms the Jewish people now have to help preserve our joyful Jewish community.
